  • Get Involved | CSNeighbourhoodPlan

Community Consultation December 2023 This first community wide consultation took place in December 2023 before any policies were drafted. Consulting at this stage is often hard as there is nothing to comment on – but that actually makes it the most important stage. The whole point of a Neighbourhood Plan is that it is community led. It belongs to everyone and it is vital that everyone gets involved and has their voice heard. It stands to reason that no one person, or group of people, can have all the knowledge or answers to shape a plan that reflects the breadth and diversity of our community. We don’t all share the same views and we don’t all experience life in the same way. This is why your views are so important. What do you think is good and bad about The Strettons; what are the special qualities of The Strettons as a place in which to live and work; what issues affect The Strettons (now and in the future) and what positive change would you like to see? Leaflets were distributed by Royal Mail to all postal addresses within the Neighbourhood Plan area explaining what neighbourhood planning is about and the sorts of things that a plan can include. If for any reason you have not received one, please download a copy by clicking the image on this page; or collect a leaflet from the Town Council Offices, The Library, The Mayfair centre or one of the other locations where you see this poster (add poster): or telephone the Town Council on 01694 722113 and ask for one to be posted to you. Community Consultation Leaflet Community Drop-In Sessions were held December 2023 This website also contains lots of background information that you may find helpful when responding to the consultation. This information will also be available at the community drop-in sessions. Three community drop-in sessions are being held where you can ask questions and share your thoughts in person. These are taking place on: Tuesday 5 December at the Silvester Horne Institute 10.00 – 12.00 and 15.30 – 19.30 and Saturday 9 December at the Mayfair Centre 10.00 – 13.00 Photographic Prize Draw took place December 2023 As part of the consultation we would like you to send us a photograph of either: 1. Your favourite space or place in The Strettons Neighbourhood Plan area. Your photograph must be accompanied by a sentence of not more than 20 words explain why you have chosen this place and what makes it special. 2. A space or place where you would like to see change. Your photograph must be accompanied by a sentence of not more than 20 words explain why you have chosen this pace or place. Please send you photographs and accompanying sentences by email to support@csneighbourhoodplan.com and include ‘Photographic prize draw’ in the email header. There is a maximum of 3 entries per person, so you may have to be selective. The draw will be made on 22 December at 5.00pm with one winner for each category. Winners will be notified by email. The two winning entries will each receive £50. *All entries will remain the copyright of the photographer, but they will grant Church Stretton Town Council an irrevocable licence to use the images
